Just did a pair of socks with a Star toe. It is basically the same as this. The only difference I see is where the decreases are located around the toe. Mine divided the stitches into 4 sectors with 1 on each side and 1 in the center of the front and back. On my feet, the star effect is not very visible. But I love the socks. They have a very unique patterning on the foot. My pattern is called Pauli's Socks and I actually bought the online magazine for the pattern.

Thanks for this pattern. It looks like something I might try - haven't made one sock yet but I do want to.
