Has anyone done the ruffle scarf using Sashay yarn, and if so did you like it and how long did it take you to make it?
I have made them with Sashay, but I prefer Flamenco, Salsa and Belly Dance. Depending on the length and width, it takes me anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 Hour.

I have made lots of them with this yarn. I can make one in about an hour. I cast on 8 stitches and knit every row, this makes a really long scarf. Never measured so can't say how long they were. I'm 5'7" and they hung several inches below my waist if that helps. If you want it shorter, cast on more stitches.

I started one last Dec and I still haven't finished it. I can't stand it b/c it feels as though I have to be so careful with it. Spent $15 on the yarn from lys too.:-/

I like the softness and feel of the Sashay yarn but it snags easily so I have learned no kitties on my lap while I am knitting this. You can knit one up in an evening. I knit every other stitch and cast on 6 stitches.

I have only used sasshy and I never time myself ,I pick up and knit when I get a min here and there. They knit up pretty fast. I found a great sale on them at Michaels last week.in Houston. I hope it is still on ,because everyone that sees them wants me to make one for them!

Why am I so afraid of these. I would love to make a few for my nieces and son's girlfriends. When I look at it, it intimidates me. When I roll it off the skein, where do you start--I don't seem to see the "yarn thread" if that makes sense, its all ruffles to me, of course I have only looked at them all put together as a skein. can someone give me a clue as to how to start it.? Thanks

I typed in Sashay yarn ruffle scarf and got the video on how to make them, the directions from LYS I didn't understand but on the video it was very clear, I started one. I want to make them for christmas gifts for all the gals in the family. In my first post just wondered how long it took.

I love Sashay yarn and have every color they make. It takes about an evening to knit one. I wrap the yarn on a paper towel tube first spreading the yarn out as I wrap. It makes it much easier to do. I don't like any of the other yarns I have used. Viv

I have made about 25 of them and sold a few! They are fun to do as a no brainer and you knit through the end of the skein. I have done 5 stitches and used every other loop hole on top with sashay and like that one real well. The red hat girls love these! They will be nice and colorful with fall and winter jackets. I have used other types of yard and some more expensive. Can't beat JoAnns and use a coupon for 40% off etc. They carry Shashay here. Have fun.
Just use the loops at top of yard, the bottom usually has a trim on it.
