There are always these tempting knitting designs from russian designers that I can never find patterns for. This is the latest example

that's a great pattern - i've had the same experience. IF i find the pattern it's often translated so poorly it's hard to figure it out.

Many can be recreated with some thought and creativity.
For example, this one is knitted flat (the cables run around the hat, not up and down) and then seamed.
The ribbing is created by picking up stitches on the edge of the bottom cable and then knit to length.
The cable is readily available.
You can find hats that are constructed that way.

It looks like it's made with i-cord to me. With a ribbed brim.

I think that one would be fairly easy to make as I've already made something similar to the top part as a single head band and a double headband a few years ago when I was learning to knit , Adjustments to the double head band might do it think i might give it a try, as if I need a new project just now ????

I would try what you have and pick up for the ribbed part. Beautiful headband :sm24: :sm24: :sm24:

Did a reverse image search & found a similar hat & neck warmer pattern on a foreign site; but showed a Drops Design with an English description. Googled the description & it led me to Pinterest. You can visit the Drops site to get the pattern; but you might look at 'Similar ideas' to the right of the Pinterest picture. There is a thumbnail picture (green yarn) that shows how to do that braided cable.

That technique is similar to the braiding done on a knitted basket I did. You make I-cord loops along your knitted piece and then starting at the bottom you pull them through each other.

I think you could make the top part of the hat with the fat loopy yarn they are selling now days and the ribbing is easy enough to add.
