Thank you so much for posting that post from Sam's blog.

It's exactly what I needed to hear about now. I've been "suffering" and feeling so sorry for myself from the pain, side effects from pain meds, etc and not being able to use my right arm from possibly a ? torn rotator cuff.

This has been going on for about 4-5 weeks.

I'm finally getting to see Orthopedic doctor on Thurs (took a LONG time to get an appointment)

Right now, I'm not even knitting (sigh), but truthfully, I think I can knit. Actually, it might even be good PT for my right side.

A dear friend of mine, in his email this morning gently reminded me that my thoughts, etc make things seem worse (and I'm sure must be obnoxious for him to read about every day)

I also identified with her comments re body image/weight. That's been a major theme throughout my whole life with plenty bad effects on my six kids and ex as well as myself.

Thanks again,
Sandy

I always find Corinne's blog inspiring and Sam's contribution is an excellent addition. It is so hard for women to not compare their bodies with those of models and actresses who we are told are beautiful. I am 72 and still find myself wanting to have the body I had when I was younger. Self esteem is difficult to maintain for all of us so thank Sam for helping us with the battle and thank you for sharing Jennie.
