I once had a pattern that was knitted in one piece. It was a simple stockenette stitch. I cannot find it and would like to teach me young grandaughter to knit this.

Is there any simple ones for adults?

Yes, they have even more adult sweaters. I have knitted the ballet cardigan for children and really really like the simplicity and speed. I am going to be doing more top-down knitting in future, as I hate doing up seams.
