Simplicity Afghan pattern from Comfort Knitting and Crochet Afghan Book

I was wondering if anyone hads made this afghan. For me, it is not as simple as it looks. The pattern does not seem to match the picture. Maybe somebody with more experience can please help. I am having trouble with Rows #3 and#4.
