Slow Cooker Chuck Roast Barbecue ~ Serves 8
Ready in over 5 hrs

Made with barbecue sauce, beef chuck roast, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper

3 pounds beef chuck roast
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper, to taste
18 ounce bottle barbecue sauce

Place the roast in the bottom of the crock pot. Sprinkle it evenly with the garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the roast to coat it as much as possible.
Do not add water to the crock pot.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is tender enough to shred.
Remove the roast from the crock pot and place on a large cutting board or tray. With two forks, shred the meat.
Return the shredded beef to the crock and stir into the sauce.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for one more hour.
Serve the shredded beef on buns or in tortillas.

Crock pot notes ~ Crock pots/slow cookers all heat differently. There is no standard among manufacturers. Cooking times are suggested guidelines based on our testing. Please adjust cooking times and temps to work with your brand and model of slow cooker.
