It is very cold and snowy here in south central Montana-a good day to get to this project I have been procrastinating on. The pattern (Gabrielle) is from Miss Freckles Designs The Pendelton wool piece came from Hometown Pendelton, hardware from My Handmade Space. There were some new challenges with the wool that I had to work out, but I got it finished. Hope it’s warmer where you live!
Beautiful use of Pendelton wool! Nice handbag, too! Cold here in South Central Alaska, but not too bad for this time of the year! Anything above zero is good! LOL. Stay warm and take care!

It was -29 C this morning with a wind chill of -40 C. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is in the throws of a polar vortex.

I need your kind of determination, I have had a leather skin for 25 years waiting to be made into a bag.
Everything is there, all the hardware plus some gorgeous silk lining, just not the starting gun!

Bag making is a newer obsession for me. I made a few styles in advance of a few craft fairs, and they were popular- I’ve been collecting more patterns and fabrics in anticipation of this year‘s fairs. Love the style and color of yours!
I never thought of it as an obsession, but that’s right on point! I just can’t seem to stop!

I have never sewn real leather, I don’t think my domestic machine would handle it well, and I am really particular about how my top stitching looks. I do use a lot of “faux” leather, though, so maybe it would be about the same. Good luck with your project-would love to see pictures!

Thank you everyone for looking and for the kind comments! Sun is out here today, but so far it’s still quite cold by Montana standards! Wishing you all a fabulous and creative day.
