i've looked through the posts and can't find the original . I found what they were looking for . it's picks up stitches , removes knots , and find multiple other uses for this 6 3\4 long metal tool with a b hook on one end and a pick on the other .

It's called a dentist knitting tool .

Thanks Judic, I been reading about this tool and looking put never came up with the right name. I have a smaller version with a larger hook and other end is for larger stitches but it kinda doesn't work with smaller stitches very well.

Glad i found a person intereted. I just recieved the catalog from pattern works . their yarns are pricey for me but they have a great assortment of tools .

I posted a request for this item several weeks ago and couldn't find out where to get it and what it was called. I have one and LOVE it. I don't think I could knit without one. Thank you so much for the information and web site. I've visited Patternworks many times, but never saw this.

just ask your dentist to save his tool for you when he throws them out other tools he has works great- amazing for fetching hair out of the drai too
