There was a designer that worked in the Torpedo Factory, in Alexandria, VA who knitted a gorgeous evening coat from black plastic bags. I saw it years ago, before she moved to New England. Recently, I saw her work in a national magazine.

I guess we can knit with anything if the design is good. It would make a great raincoat and if I ever get around to making it, I will post it here.
So many projects so little time! Sigh....

Oh, have used old pantyhose and they dye up pretty cool too.
no but i will be sure to try that i will also mention it to my husband he ties flies it may work for him thanks for the tip

one of the totes were made from the shopping bags that that i ordered off line the other one was made from the black bags and surveryer tape you can get it from your local hardware store.
