Hi everyone, my name is Jenny. I've never joined a forum before and spent the first day getting my head around it all. Then I put out a couple of problems and have been amazed at the expertise and generosity of members in their advice and help. I've read about members needing hugs, about members wondering if there is a right or wrong way to knit (!!) and as I have read, I have felt a wonderful warmth and desire to give as everyone else is giving. I have no expertise but I hope my contributions of genuine caring about others will join with others to make lives richer as mine has become richer. When I can't sleep and come to the computer at 2, 3 or 4am I know that others are reading posts and answering as they go about their daily lives, and I am not alone! I have a wonderful life, filled with blessings and a wonderful family who keep me busy, and a 'boyfriend' who has his own home but who shares my life as much as we like. But there was a gap, and you have all filled it. So wanted to share these thoughts. I am not sexist and I love men, but I'm so glad I'm a woman....lol

Welcome Jenny.
I come here when I am sad...cheers me up in no time.
I come here when I am lonely...the loneliness doesn't last very long.
I come here to give me some me time...after a while I am relaxed.
I come here to learn...one never stops learning.
I come here to teach (where I can)...remembering that I was a newbie once.
I come here for good conversation...boy can we have fun at times!

I come here for many reasons (this is just a few).
I start my day here and I end my day here.
Oh such a wonderful place this is indeed.

Grannybaba, welcome from Alabama, USA. I love how you have put your feelings into words. And Galaxycraft also has summed it up nicely. It's good to be a woman and to connect with others who are so like-minded. There are a few men on the forum also, so this is not to mimimize their importance or their ability to contribute to this lovely site. I hope you'll spend many fun-filled hours here. But watch out, it is addicting.

Hello and welcome from Ohio, Grannybaba. When my life was suddenly lacking feminine voices, I found solace here. It's the next best thing to Grandma's Kitchen growing up and my Mother's voice on the phone late at night when I was raising her grandchildren. :)

Best wishes and hope you find you like it here as much as I do.

Welcome from Adelaide, South Australia.

There is so much to learn here. Been Knitting/Crocheting for nearly 60 years but I had never heard of so many things i.e. knitting top down and all the circular knitting that happens.

You'll get much pleasure from the site and wisdom.

Was on the Gold Coast for a week at the beginning of August. Surprised my hubby with tickets and accommodation in ******.

Always drive through the Gold Coast Hinterland. This time went up to Mount Tamborine. Well if that's not God's own country, don't know where it is. You're very fortunate to live where you do.

Good luck with the forum.

A warm welcome from Sydney, Australia. As this is a global "family" there is always someone online to share a thought, solve a problem or just "listen". Just like knitting it is better than therapy ! Good to have you onboard.
