The world is indeed a sad place today with the passing of Maya Angelou. (1927-2014). May this lady who was such an inspiration to so many return to the arms of our Lord and Rest In Peace. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.

I loved her!! she could read to me all day long :)... I went through a period of being very depressed.. I couldn't sleep and so I would get up and watch tv before getting ready to go to work.. she had a show on PBS and in that show she pulled me up!! and I was back to normal in no time :) and she had a life long fan!

Your right she will be missed!!! an amazing woman :)

I just heard the News on my radio and I felt like I had lost a dear friend. We should all read at least one of her wonderful poems to ourselves (or out loud to others) today. RIP, Maya.
