pfflyer: that's a fantastic jacket. Apparently lots of people have been looking for it, at least they were in 2006 & 2007 and mostly without success. Hopefully email address hasn't changed and she can be reached. Too bad the pattern isn't made available again.

Myra: You will have made may people happy if they ever again search for the sweater. On one of the forums where the vest was being discussed (2007 or so), someone did mention an error in the pattern and was trying to find a way to contact her to let her know. That's probably the error she mentions. Even then, people were trying to find the pattern and it was unavailable. Thank you for your perseverance. Mary

pfflyer: Thanks for showing us your beautiful vests and begining an adventure that ended with our getting the pattern from the designer. Now, I'll admit I don't know the etymology of pfflyer. Any time you care to share, please do.

Fourratz: I don't think anyone answered your question about entrelac. No, entrelac is different from mitered squares. I've always been pretty intimidated by entrelac but am about ready to try some. I've seen a couple of tutorials and videos and they are beginning to make sense.
Here's a link for an entrelac scarf: http://knittyotter.typepad.com/otterknits/2007/03/entrelac_scarf_.html
Here's a how-to video:
