Hello please can someone help me determine what ply or number UK crochet cotton would work to the U.S crochet cotton no.5. I have a knitting book for 5 inch Itty Bitty dolls clothes plus 2 dollys to dress for Christmas but have no idea what ply to use. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I am knitting from the same book at the moment and No. 5 cotton is equal to 3 ply, but as the colours are limited I have also been using 4 ply and a smaller size needle and the clothes fit fine. Hope this helps

Thank you all for your advice I will look for the no 5 crochet cotton and also have thin plys in my stash so time to get going.
