Hi everyone, I am Evelyn. I live in Oregon, I crochet but now wants to learn to knit so I have not done this before. Did I say that I am also left handed so this will be a challenge for me. If anyone have any left handed tricks please let me know :thumbup:

I have not looked at YouTube yet. Thank you for telling me, I will go there and look and maybe I will find someone who is left handed to make it easier for me.

I'm Donna Rae from Brandon, Iowa. I hand knit combined continental and English throwing plus cochet; 1970/1973.

There some excellent videos on the web to show you how to knit and left handed.

I'm working with a leftie now in private e-mail who knits right-handed! LOL! She casts on left-handed. Hmmm...I'm hoping to hear from her soon as we're working on a pattern selection for her.

Tell me, do you have knitting equipment now? Other resources?

Hi Evelyn, I am left handed and learned to knit the "right handed" way. Since you use both hands in knitting I see no reason you can't learn the same way, especially if you consider that knitting patterns are written for "right-handed" technique!

My Mom was a lefty, but she always knit "right-handed". Said it was easier since most patterns are written that way.

Hi Donna, I do have knitting equipment. I think that all I need is knitting needles and thread if that is true I have it. Sorry I got your message just now. I work and get home late, I am on pacific time zone.
