I just typed convert 8 oz to into my browser and it gave me grams as an option and took me immediately to the results! Never underestimate the power of Google or whatever other browser you use. Knitting abbreviations are as quick, you usually don't even have to use the word knit when doing the search, the abbreviation is often adequate by itself.
