Hi...was just reading some comments on a problem someone had. Others were suggesting using a lifeline so they wouldn't have to frog so much. What is a lifeline??? And what in the world does "frog" mean??? Never heard of these terms before. Thanks!

A lifeline is a thread woven into the knitting at intervals so, if you make a mistake, you only have to rip it (as in the sound a frog makes) back so far and can pick up the stitches and not lose any.

There are a lot of knitting terms that are pretty strange. One you see pretty often, besides frog is tink. Tink is to undo stitches backwards, one by one. It's where you have a nearby error and only have a few stitches to undo and you replace the undone loops back on the needle as you "tink" them.
Another common term is LYS for your local yarn shop, an independent store that sells yarns.
