For me really the only time I don't have my knitting in my hands is when I am either sat in front of the TV watching NASCAR races (American stock car racing) or out at my local track watching the races. ALthough I have to say even when I a not watching the races but am knitting then a lot of my knitting is race related, I make a lot of NASCAR related teddy bears so my two loves are inextricably linked lol. I think I need to get out more

Wow! There is not enough time in the day for everything! We have two "Girls" that we walk, play with, give lots of love to. My picture shows three bit we lost one three years ago, a very sad day. I walk or bike every day except Sunday. I take piano lessons and play normally 90 minues every day. My DH does consulting and I handle all paperwork. I read, usually have two or three books going at same time. We go to the theater. We try not to miss NASCAR! We recorded it last night but the rain delay lasted too long! Jr. Is my guy but I Ike all of the Hendricks drivers plus Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, oh I like most of them! And then I have to keep my house clean! and then there is KP! Need I say more! LOL

Well I'm an avid reader, but limit my reading to bedtime. I write as well, some small things for magazines. I belong to a group called Writelines and we get a newsletter each month, showing what we've had published. I look after my grandchild one or two days a week. I go to a Pilates class once a week. I adore shopping in charity shops and pick a different town each week to do just that. I spend too much time reading KP but how else would I keep in touch with fellow knitters? Life is good. There's so much to fill our days. That was a nice exercise you started, making us think of all the positive things we do.

Spinning, reading, listening to Dougie MacLean, sewing/quilting, walking the dogs and playing the tin whistle and NA style flute are the main ones. I also like to learn Gaelic... and I'm going about it slowly. It's fun!

Work, crochet, knit ,read, attend grand children's sports events, quilt, sleep, currently working on craft stuff, as it is in a room off the back of my house and am moving it all into bedroom/craft room, and goodness, I didn't know I had so much, so gifting some to my friends, or donating it to Sr citizens organization. This was my family home, and I think all of us have at one time brought stuff here and just left it..so now that it is mine, I am purging it, if they left it and never returned for it then out it goes...and of course I am the leader of the leavers!!

Do you mean when not on here?

I look after my 4 grandchildren whenever I'm needed and we do crafty things together when the weather is not good, even if it's just cutting and sticking or colouring and when it's nice out we go to the woods and have adventures.

I quite enjoy my own company so I'm not often bored. I love to read and I watch far too much TV especially Sci Fi and CSI type programmes.

I used to sew a lot but it's mainly just repairs nowadays rather than garments but I do enjoy recycling old garments and making things out of the scraps of material.

When I am not knitting or crocheting, I am sewing, reading, or volunteering at the museum. I love making quilts, too. I visit my grandchildren and great grandchildren when I get a chance. I dont understand how retired people get bored and sit around the house There is so much one can do if they want.
