After reading all the posts about dishcloths/face cloths/spa cloths I go to thinking I want to try to make one and see how I like it. I do have a new skein of Sugar n Cream 100% cotton but wanted to know what else people use for the spa cloths? I bought some micro fiber cloths at a spa trade show once that I loved but somehow they all managed to disappear. I know acrylic isn't absorbent but is there something other than cotton that people use? I'm thinking of making a little cloth for my sister to use to bathe my niece and want it to be soft.

I have just made some out of I Love This Cotton from Hobby Lobby. It is very soft and there is a nice variety of colors to choose from.

Right now I am using the KnitPicks organic cotton for a spa cloth and I am impressed just how soft it is. I am looking forward to getting it done and trying it out in the shower. If it does well, I am going to make some soap sacks from it.

I like a rougher washcloth and use a boucle cotton.

But the first one I made was of Bernat Cottontots. It came out wonderfully soft, I personally will use it again, if I ever make a washcloth for a baby

I don't usually like any kind of washcloth, but I crocheted some at Christmas time for gifts, using Hobby Lobby's "I Love this Cotton". Decided to try one for myself and absolutely love it!
It feels really soft but also has just enough texture to exfoliate without being rough. I used a single crochet stitch, working in back loops only, so there are ridges.

I'd advise making a face or whatever cloth out of the Sugar n Cream yarn you already have. Then try it out and see what you think. You'll know what you like or might want to improve about it once it's knit and you've tried it.

Thanks for the links, I actually have the Breast Cancer one printed out and wanted to try it in different colors. Maybe that should be my first try.
