My DH has put in a request for this sleveless pullover which is a paid pattern .he is on the slimmer side and would like a loose flowing one. i checked the yarn andit has been discontinued/ is ther some other yarn that i can use. we live in a place that is not cold at all, and he needs just a bit of warmth. please suggest some good yarn. also if anyone has knit this pattern, would love tohave their inputs. thank you all. here is the link
the pattern is called " Ribbed diamond man's vest"

The information page on Ravelry has a link to allow you to see the first page of the pattern. On that page, it specifies sport weight yarn; so you should be able to use any sport weight, usually a #2 weight in the American system, not sure about the Australian equivalent. I shall research now to see if I can find further info.

EDIT: Here is a chart which gives comparative weights for the various geographic areas. You might want to make a copy for future use.
