And summer is just around the bend, hope there are no bad bush fires this season. 29C yesterday but cooler and raining today in Perth.

A few years ago we had a massive heatwave here in Queensland and koalas were coming onto people's porches looking for water. I saw several photos in the papers showing koalas sitting in tubs of water, etc - it was so special. Even one sitting under a hose being held by a young child. These creatures normally don't come anywhere near humans but in this case saw the humans as lifesavers and they weren't disappointed.

Dang, I didn't know you could bake cookies in the car! What a great "just baked car smell".
Had a couple of gals at an office where I worked who regularly placed cookie pans on their dashboards in the morning when they got to work and had fresh baked cookies when they left in the evening. In the summer, that's quite the latest thing to do. Just goes to show you how hot the inside of a closed car gets - why you don't leave pets or children in cars. A man who fell asleep with his feet up on the dash had one foot amputated from the burn he sustained.
