The complete directions for row 5 are:
Row:5: k6,sl1,k1,psso,yo,( k1,yo) 5 times, k 2 tog:rep from * to last 6 sts.
knit 6, sl1, k1 psso, yo, (k1, yo)(k1, yo)(k1, yo)(k1, yo)(k1, yo), k2tog repeat from * which is missing from your instructions. However, based on row 3 I would say that the * should be placed after the k6. Repeat from the sl1, k1, psso to the last 6 stitches.

"past" is correct. The K6 at the beginning and end is a garter stitch border on the lace portion.

You are knitting 6 YOs and 1 K2tog and 1 SKP in each repeat, so it increases by 4 stitches in each repeat across in Row 5. Place a marker after each repeat and make sure you have 6 yos each time before going on.

Pay attention to where the * is for the repeat. Look at the picture here and you can clearly see the "holes" created by the YOs. Markers should take care of the problem.

this pattern was free only for a week, i print it. this section is the botton border pattern, from row1 to row 6...this 6 rows will be reapeat 7 times...i think to created the botton like the picture jmcret05 sent here...thank her i can see clear how the holes separeted each section, but it is not included in the pattern...so i see at end of the row1, i have decreased too many stitches...so there are missing some YO in row 1...?
i asking...?thank you for help
