I found a pattern on Ravelry for the midsummer nights dream shawl. It came from the current issue of creative knitting magazine. It is a very easy pattern to knit and works up very quickly because all the WS rows are purl, except for the first and last stitch. The RS rows are in groups of three, one row is patterned and the other two are just knit except for the first and last stitches and 2 YO's.

I am using Caron simply soft, I didn't bother checking the gauge because it's a shawl, big or small I'm going to wear it.

Thanks for the feedback. I have this mag and the shawl was next on my to do list. Good to know it's an easy one so I can make it while watching tv!
Definitely a TV, too, pattern. I am sitting here listening/watching the baseball game and working on my shawl.

There is another pattern in that magazine that I would also like to have called "Breakwater" to make for my niece. I love that shawl pattern too. I am going to put that magazine on things I have to look for.
Thank you so much for showing it.
