Without having a specific pattern in mind, can anyone tell me approximately how many yards of fingering yarn would one need to knit a sweater (pullover/cardigan)for a 3 year old toddler. This may be putting the cart before the horse, but at this time I just need a ballpark figure.... Many thanks - I. Heart

(((((( 400 - 610 yards (366 - 558 m); Baby/toddler and Child/youth; Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi);

28 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch and Waffle Stitch; US 2½ - 3.0 mm needles.

Enjoy!
