Enough Yarn left to finish row
To prevent getting to the end of your yarn half way across a row, try this. It's a tip my mother showed me years ago.
When you know you don't have much yarn left, double up the yarn back to your knitting and make a small, light knot in it. If you can knit/work across the row before you get to the knot, you know you have enough yarn to work another row. If you have to knit past the knot, you know there is not enough to do another row.
