Welcome from SW Washington. You're going to love it here.
Hello from Washington state. You are going to love it here.
Welcome from Kelso, WA. You have the basics, so learning the rest will be a cinch. I use YouTube to learn new things and Ravelry.com for patterns. Happy knitting.
Just finished a Tunisian 10-stitch big throw of my DH. I was in the situation, as I knit for charity all year and noticed he was next to me shivering. So now he had his new throw with his Minnesota Vikings colors.
There are so many borders, it is really hard to say. The only way to be sure is to make a sample while measuring your usage.
I would like to start a local knitting group.
I knit hats for the homeless, so don't have one for you. But...Try Ravelry.com. They have a zillion hat patterns and many are free. You will be able to review any that interest you, so that you'll know if it will suit you. Bless you for your benevolence.
I would like to be Cassandra Austen, Jane Austen's sister. Then write my autobiography in my old age......what story.
Evie RM, I am part of The 12...I just humor him!
Thank you, Dee. You have given me great inspiration.
Hello from SW Washington (not DC). This looks like a very nice community of knitters and crocheters. It is wonderful to see members from around the world.
I was taught to knit at around 10 years old and renewed my interest about 4 years ago. Now that I have retired, I knit stocking hats for a local non profit, so any suggestions in acquiring inexpensive yarn is welcome. Also, any Minnesota Vikings patterns would be most appreciated, my husband is a die-hard fan. :o)
Best regards to all of you.
