I can't tolerate whole grain wheat of any type (brown or GMO white). Processed wheat (white flour) is fine, but no whole grain, even the "ancient grains" being touted by some are off limits for me. What really surprised me was my husband's doctor advising him to cut down his wheat consumption because it was causing his inflammation problems to worsen.
Hmmm...how much American Indian does he have? If it is Cherokee it would explain why I cannot have wheat either!
I already avoid sorbitol, corn syrup, wheat. It could be an east coast Indian characteristic.
