I knitted this but I am sorry I have all but forgotten the finer points but the two people who designed it are extremely helpful so get in touch with one of them or ask on the group thread .It will help if you join in the thread as people are still knitting this .

Try to get a small non shedding dog which doesn’t leave hair everywhere .Also consider if it needs grooming by an expert as that adds to the expense.

Some designers have an ability to write a clear pattern and others make it unnecessarily difficult. I find it very frustrating, especially when I pay to read their gobbeldy gook.

To a point I agree but it can have a lot to do with the experience of the knitter.

I think you have an answer to how to do the row. You just need to understand the use of brackets so that next time you encounter a similar pattern it will be easy for you.

k3 then work what is in square brackets as follows ***slip1 yarn over K3 now the round brackets 3 times ...slip1 ,yarn over K1 ,slip1 yarn over ,k1 and the third time slip one ,yarn over k1 ....k2 ***
Now do what is between the stars two more times making 3 times in total to finish slip1 ,yarn over K3 .
I have used *** instead of the square brackets in your original print off.I think that is 56 stitches .

Just be careful if you print the pattern as there are sometimes several and you can end up printing several pages !

Hate to put down an artist, but the local tree carvers here that do totem poles and lawn decorations, could do MUCH better.

On UK news the remark was made at how difficult it would be getting details using a chain saw .There is a local man who carves animals into tree trunks and there is great detail in them all .They are works of art .

Pattern Duchess has a few ways of working the nupp on her site so look at those .Put a marker before and after the first row so it is clearer where to purl.It is so easy to pick up the wrong number to purl.

As everyone says be truthful. If she wants you to teach her, as you stated ,then explain as an experienced crafter it has been a challenge so a beginner would be lost .Could you suggest you enquire if anyone in this group would do it and then you can feed back any quotes ?

I would think acrylic would be better especially for washing and allergys.

Having gone to the web site it seems pretty obvious they won’t be getting washed .
