Count me as another Corriedale fan!
Plymouth Encore has held up like cast iron in my family for decades. Available at The Yarn Barn in Kansas.
I THINK IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! I WOULD WEAR IT WITH EVERYTHING! INCLUDING JEANS!
And it would be beautiful in any color, even black, which could help decide where to wear it.
Masterful spinning and knitting. Congratulations!
It may have helped that the Louet was my only wheel when I was lucky enough to take a workshop on fine spinning with Mabel Ross.
It depends on which wheel I'm using. If the scotch tension wheel, worsted. If the bobbin lead wheel, woolen.
I would buy pair of hand carders to use while I built a fund for a drum carder. Brother and Sweet Kitty are not so expensive.
Great! And I love the collar on yours!
Your kids might also appreciate Duofold underwear. It has a layer of wool sandwiched between cotton layers and is machine washable. Flannel lined jeans and slacks are also cozy.
I think I would turn the sweater inside out and baste fabric to the seam lines. Another hack that comes to mind is buying a silk undershirt, cutting up the center front, slipping it inside the cardigan, and tacking it in place. Good luck! the cardigan
Love 'em! Great for layering, they pop on and off so easily. Also hide a multitude of sins and "fit" no matter what pant size I happen to be this/next winter!
I just love it, so much texture, so much luster!
I like the assymetry. One shorter side makes it easy to carry a purse.
