Right back at you!!! Very rainy here, hoping it will clear up so i can work in garden, go in pool and cook on grill. I'm by myself so it is really peaceful. If it doesn't stop raining guess I'll just have to spend the day knitting.

It is so easy to misunderstand what someone means with only the written word. When face to face with someone it is much easier. Facial expressions, tone of words things we don't have on a forum. I think many times a misunderstanding begins this way. We need to be careful not to take offense at what is said until we really know what is meant.

You are right. That unfortunately is a problem even in some other Countries which have Universal Health Care. They have
basic Dental Care and make it just about mandantory to get preventive check ups yearly. If one does not get those, no other care will be subidized.

You may check if there is a Medical School near you with a
Dental School within it. They take People for treatment for
little or no Fee frequently.

I go for checkups every 6 month and get a cleaning, that and extractions are only things covered.

The nearest Med School that offers service for little or no fee is in Boston and I have no way of getting there.

Dental care is an issue even with medicare and medicaid. Can't even get a filling. I had to have 2 teeth pulled because the cost for a filling was more than half of what I receive in a month from disability even if they covered part of it, it would help.

Thank you for the suggestions for sunburn. It is much better today. I have not had a sunburn in over 30 yrs. I got it swimming in the backyard pool, should have known enough to reapply sunscreen often.

I am going to give my opinion and expect there will be disagreement. There are many older drivers who should not be driving, I know some of them. I believe there should driving, sight and hearing testing periodically for anyone over 65. ( I'm 60). I worked for a woman that was 85 and still had a drivers licence because she had some kind of papers from her doctor saying she was ok to drive. Well I rode with her a few times and they were the most terrifying rides of my life. Her sight and hearing were not good and she should not have been in the drivers seat. Doctors should not be able to override the registry of motor vehicles testing.
My father is 87 and still driving, he has macular degeneration and is nearly deaf with his hearing aids on. He should not be driving. I don't understand why this is allowed it is just as dangerous as drinking and driving.
I do realize there are older drivers that are excellent drivers and if that is the case then they shouldn't mind having tests that prove it and also keep those who should no longer be driving safely off the road.
