Ants don't like any plants that have a strong smell. Peppermint, Spearmint, Lavender, etc. I planted lavender in different places next to my house. In an enclosed flower bed next to the house I planted peppermint (it spreads easily). Put it under my house, under my sinks and in vases around the house for quite a while. I haven't had 1 ant in 15 years .
Hey Caldwell Idaho, my sons second name is Caldwell. It is a family name on his fathers side. His great grandfather's name was Caldwell. Do you know the origin of your towns name?
My exhusband was in the hospital and I was sitting in the waiting room knitting, waiting for him to return to his room. His doctor came up and said he would be back shortly. He then asked what I was knitting,I forget. We sat and talked knitting till my ex returned. He said he had been knitting for years. His wife did not knit. Even doctors knit.
When I come to the yo before the p and then a k st, on the next row I have a double rap. I thought I was increasing 1 st but It seems I have a double wrap and that would make 2 sts increase. What am I doing wrong. My st count is off on all my repeats. HELP!
So true. I can close my eyes and feel the 10 year old still within me.
Thanks Judy M. I knew I would get some great advice from you guys. Most of the time it is a knit before the yo, then the purl. I will give going under the right needle a go. I have frogged this thing too many times.
I am knitting a lacey shawl. It calls for a yo before a purl stitch. I know how to do this, but am getting a lot of mistakes with too many stitches,or not enough. Is there something else I can do to achieve the same results.
Sorry this is in "General Chit Chat " I can't seem to get it right on the row after a yo before a purl stitch. Sometimes on the next row I have the right amount of stitches and sometimes I have too many. Is there another way to achieve the same result. Help!
I agree there are differences in a lot of them. Tail, eye, one line. If you look carefully each one is different in some way.
I read in a book just yesterday "practice what you learnt on page 57."
If it is flexible then my guess is to make rounded corners. I have a larger one for quilting and for sewing clothes. Very helpful.
Her posts are the only ones I make sure I look at. I have missed her.
I love your quilt. I am a quilter also. Beautiful work. Good advice has already been given.
