Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement. I have some more bits to show you regarding crochet yet. I have enjoyed what I have done up to now though and once I am fully back into doing stuff I am going to attempt some thread items.
I am having a problem finding some of my patterns and the cape is one of them. I looked on line just to get the info and was quite shocked that someone has started to copy
them, laminate them but take all original details off even the maker.

Hi everyone

In 2016 I broke my arm plus other injuries when i tripped in the garden. A friend asked me which roof I had fell off because the in juries were horrific.
Anyway I still tried to do stuff but, with having no pot on mt arm because of where the break was I couldn't knit, I tried and failed. So my long time
ambition was to get into crochet properly not just doing basic squares, so my hubster took me down to my friends and I started my first baby shawl.
My main problem had always been not being able to read patterns, give me any knit pattern and I was ok but, crochet seemed like a foreign language
Here are the photo's, you will see the beginning one's looked quite tight and they were but, I got home and undid all of it and started again without help on a larger hook.
After I had finished the shawl which only took a few days, I did one in a thinner ply but, lengthened it because it would have been too small.

The pattern is Teddy 665 4ply I did the first one in DK

Then I did a babies Hooded Cape, no help just started it and was pleased I got the chain line straight I used the same wool I used for the edge of the shawl nice match.
I can't find the original pattern yet but, i will try to
First attempt but stitching looked out

First attempt you can see how ridged it is & tight

Second attempt and made mistake

2nd attempt before frogging it back

Finished

Hi again

I have just found the last two bits for this thread 😏. I must have put some patterns away as I have that many.

Ok the two sleeveless tops are from a pattern mainly done for preemies. It is Called a Little Hooded Vest by it’s designer. I tried finding it on line last night but it was getting quite late, I may try again later for a link.

The little blue hat is from a pattern called, Grandma’s Favourite Baby Set by Darlene Cutler.

Hope this helps x
