Kids' memories can be very strange!
When I asked my daughter what made her take up solo back-country hiking (on trails just one shoe-width wide, in areas where there's zero cell-phone reception, where it's possible to hike for days between seeing another human, and where there are pumas, rattlesnakes, and bears!!) in adulthood, she referenced all the times I took her and her brother to see wonderful waterfalls when they were kids.
Huh!!??? I took them to see exactly one waterfall, and it wasn't off in the wilderness either. It was a well curated/cleared little park just barely off a highway, with the parking area always within sight as we climbed the clear 3 to 4 foot-wide trail alongside it. We spent maybe a half-hour walking there once. They were in their early teens. How her brain translated that single 'adventure' into multiple treks to see multiple waterfalls, I'll never understand!
Kids' memories can be i very /i strange! br When... (show quote)

It’s a happy memory. Take credit for it!

I find the way I hold a book really bugs my thumbs, more than knitting and I love to read.

I often use a book stand holder. It should help with your thumb troubles.

There are multiple ones out there with a variety of prices.

LOL! No, I really did want to use up some stash. The one guy wants Tiger Cat colours (our local football team). I'm afraid once I make his, I'll have dozens of other orders for them. UGHHHHHHH.

The price should reflect the custom colors.

I recommend the Oysterville Sewing Circle by Susan Wiggs. The book is not about what the title would imply. It is a story for women, about women and the cut throat fashion business as well as a topic that affects women all over the world, domestic violence. It is not gritty, but is handled with grace and compassion.

45 and his VP always want special treatment. This is another example of what they think about our beautiful country and world. They DO NOT CARE!

Well, 45 has said that if he gets another term it will be FUN (his actual word) to kill Social Security and Medicare.

When oh when is someone going to step up and stop this idiot in his tracks? Every single day is another anxiety-ridden pronouncement and action. I’m so darned sick of it!

Probably a pilot program in advance of killing Medicare completely.

I certainly hope not!

These young people are our future leaders and we need to respect their feelings about their futures. They are bringing climate attention to the world and we should be applauding them not knocking them down.

That is stunning! Great mix of colors. You did a great job choosing the yarn colors.
