I have that same problem. It’s a tension thing. That line you see is half of a loose knit stitch.

It's not Ikea's fault. It's the KP website ad protocol.

SSP doesn’t mean slip slip purl, it means slip slip pass stitch over. It’s a decrease.

I like to listen to audiobooks while I knit. Perhaps you need a little side stimulus?

What will finishing a WIP create for you (self-satisfaction, pride, relief, generosity)? Perhaps by tapping into your “why,” you can get past your barrier.

I hope you recover from your sting quickly. That sounds painful.

I like to keep it to 3 or fewer

They still showcase your lovely work, but I totally understand your frustration.

I dunno, I think it’s cute. Maybe add the outline of rounded ears in front of the shoulders?

Beautiful work. I like the color you chose.

I live in a 1300 sq ft house. I can’t tell you how many things I “put away,” never to be seen again. How can something as large as motorcycle saddle bag liners disappear? It’s been 5 years and they still haven’t appeared. I have a Black Hole in a closet, I just know it.

very impressive work

Thank you! It was really fun, and now I'm glad I'm complete. :)

Ready to start the Cascade Diagonal KAL in September.

I also have four more blocks on a monotone Aran afghan sampler for my daughter.

I'm into sampler afghans, apparently. :)

I absolutely love the rich jewel tones you used. And your preferred assembly order looks great to me!

I just finished assembling a sampler with the i-cord join and it worked great. I had to pick up stitches, which was okay not great. I saw a join on here the other day (I think that conversation was already mentioned here) that showed what looks like an i-cord join but working with finished edges.

That would get my vote.

Video of the join process:

I don’t think this is the same. The video requires active stitches whereas the photo by the OP shows completed edges
