Thank you for all your suggestions. I think a thermos may be our best option. I try not to treat him different and still show him the respect he deserves. He is a really good dad, through frustration I find I moan at him. I will look to see what is the best and safest thermos. Again thank you just putting this on the forum has made me feel better. I will try to have more patience.
Very true love this analogy. Can be used in lots of situations.
My Dad is nearly 91
He has stopped making drinks for himself.
Here is what we do or have tried
I go after work at 2.15 every day make him lunch an cup of tea.
He has porridge every morning that he makes himself
I stay usually until about 4 when I make him another
My sister then goes between 6 and 7 makes dinner and cup of tea
He won't have any carers
The problem occurs if I have to work till 4 o clock,I phone to ask if he has made a drink to remind him and he always says yes. I don't have to do this very often but w would like some way of ensuring he has a cup of tea in the morning and if I am unable to go.
We thought of a flask but worried about him spilling this.
Will retire in 2 years but cannot afford to at the moment.
Sorry for such a long post.
Thank you. Love all these. Have down loaded Estonian blossom. Have so many patterns but would love to make time to do this.
Learning brioche is on my list to do. Have done fisherman's rib and loved the finished coat but found it time consuming. Found the article interesting. Thank you
Completed 3 gypsy cream christmas stockings. Was late for finishing last year's Christmas knits
My husband got me an iron for christmas just after we got married. He came home from work 23 December from works party and broke
my iron. Christmas morning lovely wrapped present thought it was a very special present. Needless to say I have not had any more household items since. Still married!! I found this funny.
Was given this when starting my nurse training. Always nice to read again.
So sorry for your loss. Don't feel guilty about what you did not do, enjoy the memories of what you did.
Hope you are feeling better. Everyone has done days. Love this site it really lets you know you ate not alone.
Thank you. Lovely patterns
Unfortunately this seems to be the norm. Very often get told not to buy a pattern as beyond my skills. Why do they do this? If it is beyond my skills that is my choice. U tube can always help but can do most patterns.
