Just heard “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” the other day on Sirus radio. Loved his voice!
I think my MIL had a round dresser like that. I definitely remember doing many,’
many, many pages of green stamps to exchange for stuff. Think that’s where some of our wedding gifts came from!
As soon as we moved to our rural section if Texas, we had cats “volunteer”. Cats have always found me, even in the city, and I’ve always given the best care I can. We now have a three cat colony on our West porch.... Smokie is 10, André the Giant is 5, Barnice (started out in our barn) seems about 18 months. The two older ones are spayed/neutered and we just started feeding Barnice in our live trap. We’ll set it tomorrow and she has an appt for shots and spay, at the vet. They stay near the house, being fully aware that we have coyotes and fox on the property. I simply cannot turn away a hungry animal....
They aren’t in my area & nearest I could find is about 4 hours South..., darn! There was a home grocery delivery service in Dallas, just before we retired, and it was wonderful. But they were a little ahead of their time (15 years ago) and folded. What I remember was their produce and meats were restaurant quality and they were not significantly more expensive than driving to the store. I’d absolutely take advantage of this kind of service, again!
Our oldest GD used to do that almost everytime she had a bath... think it was the warm “relaxing” water. She’s almost 18, now, and pretty sure she’s glad there were no internet videos of her Caddyshack moments posted on social media! She forbade her Dad to ever mention it again....😉😊
Shared this with my DH.... he loved it!
Is it just me... or does it seem that the cat is the lonely one? Regardless, it’s sweet and they comfort each other.🌈
Interesting site... thanks fir the link.🌈
That’s pretty cute.... looks like Spring!
Your body needs fuel to do strenuous work. It’s like trying to run your car on empty... you can push it a little way but, eventually, it just runs out of gas. A little bit of protein with some healthy carbs and you should be good. If you aren’t, please go see your Dr to make sure there is nothing else happening. Women, especially, seem to downplay their health and bad stuff can sneak up.... I finally told my DH we needed wait for our kids/grands to help or we needed to hire someone to help us both. We just can’t do all the heavy work, anymore....🙃
Just sent this link to my friend who makes many granny square afghans! Thanks for sharing....🌈
I think those with no experience in the care and management of animals can over react to the realities of animal husbandry. When we retired and began our tiny “herd” of cattle (1 bull and 2 cows), we quickly learned how much care was required to keep them healthy. We have neighbors with sheep and goats. You can easily tell those who care for and manage their stock and those who do not. The difference is amazing and I feel so sorry for those animals who are left to manage for themselves “naturally”. These are domesticated animals and human care/intervention is required.
I found this article of Blow Fly disease quite interesting: https://franklinvets.co.nz/2017/11/15/flystrike-in-sheep/
Didn’t see your original post, but definitely understand the issues you are dealing with. All the best with your upcoming surgery!🌈
I think the “report” option, and subsequent deletion of spam, is automatic.... The original site designer did such a good job that some functions are just ticking along. Other things are less automatic....
He’s so cute.... started my day with a smile!
