thank you to all for your quick responses - now the math makes sense - i appreciate all the help!!!
i am trying to begin this pattern - but when i read the free pattern it says knit in multiples of 4 =2 edge stiches
the pattern says : every row k1 *k2, wrap yarn around right needle twice, p2 tog* k1 doing the math that woud sem to increase 1 stitch every repeat????
should it say K1 *k2 tog, wrap yarn around right needle twice, p2 tog * k1 ????? that would keep the repear pattern to 4 stitches.
I have a question - is the pattern supposed to be K1 (k2 tog, wrap yarn around right needle twice, p2 tog) k1 repeating the pattern in the parenthesis
the way the pattern is listed it says the repeat is k2 wrap yarn around the needle twice, p2tog - this would in crease a stick in every repeat - so doesn't seem to be correct????
Normally I receive the Knitting Paradise Forum in my email every day at about 6 am (EST- USA ) the last one to arrive was on friday the 19th - I have checked the Spam folder and it is not there - has anyone else stopped getting the forum delivered to your mailbox?
Our daughter is getting married in April - which is never quite predictable weatherwise - so I knitted her a shawl. My first attempt at blocking - using 2 different coloured blocking pads - the red ones show it better.
Workin for a Livin - Huey Lewis & The News
I fly over 100 thousand miles a year - often on United because i am located near a hub - I have never had bad service from them - I have watched many passengers take out their frustrations on the employees who had nothing to do with the situation (weather delays, cancellations, mechanical issues,) and were trying to do the best they could to help the passengers - many of whom can be unreasonably demanding. Folks should read all the fine print on the airline tickets so they know what the rules an regs. are.
thanks everyone - when i printed out the pattern for some reason the Lace pattern set up did not print out so although it is here in the on line version the pages i had with me were not complete - all seems to be making sense now.
thank you - so I disregard the 152 - i just keep increasing until i have the 173 stitches??
