It's sure not going to be easy to pick the best card - it never is. This is another great swap, Love both cards especially the lighthouse.
Great cards, I love the dolphins they always look like such happy creatures. Lots of great items for you to work with too.
Beautiful cards as always from FridaysChild and what great embellishments.
Great cards but I'm not too sure the whale on the first card is very happy to see those people out in "his or her" ocean. Love the old sailing ship on the second card and what great embellishments. Wonderful swap
Beautiful cards and what a great bunch of embellishments. I can see already - it is not going to be easy to pick a best card.
So glad you like the tea towel, yes they are for display and not for drying pots and pans. I made one of these for myself to hang over one of the cabinet doors in my kitchen, even though I have made quite a few I only have one other tea towel and decided I needed one of these. Love making them and I sent a photograph of your tea towel to the Embroidery Library (that is where I get my patterns) and requested two more designs using the wood cart - one with Spring flowers and a second one with Summer flowers - I heard back that their design group will be considering doing them but not only that they told me that the picture of my tea towel is now in the Stitchers Showcase on their website. I was really pleased that they liked my tea towel and included it in that section.
I agree with Komitt and Fridayschild, enjoy life and our "hobbies" as long as we can. Put everything else off as long as we can. Congratulations Komit on winning for the best card. I hope you receive the second part of the prize soon. Since I no longer have a car, I can't always get out to mail things as soon as I want to.
Fridayschild always has great cards and these certainly fit the theme and are both great cards. Like the embellishments also. Great swap.
That card sure caught my eye when it was first posted, I love light houses. Congratulations Komitt for your beautiful card.
Thank you everyone for your kind words about my cards. I had never heard of the California Poppies until one of the ladies here at Wyngate told me about seeing them when she lived in California. I looked them up and really liked the bright yellow -- so of course I checked the Embroidery Library and found some amazing patterns and I couldn't possibly pass them up, so that is the story about the first card. The cat pattern I have had for some time but just hadn't stitched it. I ran onto the pattern and had to laugh -- there "she" was with her Christmas scarf, leg warmers and muffs. I know I had a smile on my face while stitching the design and I know there will be a couple of Christmas with the cat on them.
Wonderful cards - really like the first card and what a great bunch of embellishments.
Sorry for the flub - just got my "froms" and "tos" mixed up. Both cards are great but the second card is so different as well as being lovely. Thank you Elfie for a great swap.
WOW more butterflies. What great cards love the light house, beautiful. And the vest is something I haven't seen before but so cute and could be decorated anyway you wanted. Wonderful embellishments.
Beautiful cards, you can't go wrong with butterflies and roses. Wonderful swap.
