These came out perfectly. You post so many projects, do you knit in your sleep?
No, no knitting in my sleep. My dreams are too distracting. I would lose all track of my stitches. teehee
Thanks so much for showing me these. I saw one I like but it is $13. Now I know what is out there. Thanks so much.
I absolutely love him. His expression is priceless. Either interpretation is perfect. What a great guy you made!!!!
It is beautiful. I love your colour choices. It will go with everything and it is chic and modern. I would be honoured to receive such an awesome afghan. You have a wonderful heart.
I didn't do the initial changes. Sheherazade did all that work for us. I got this pattern size from her site. She uses the same basic adult pattern and adjusted the numbers for infants and toddlers. For the blue hat I used 4.5mm needles and Caron Simply Soft yarn. For the orange hat I used 4mm needles and Paton's Canadiana yarn. I did make a couple of adjustments of my own. For the earflap I knit 8 rows between the increases and decreases. I cast on 23 stitches for both hats. I increased to 37 stitches for both hats' earflaps. Don has a coaster that measures 19inches circumference and the hats fit around it. Merrick already has 17.5 inches circumference head so this should fit him all winter. I like a little more height in the crown so I knit about 5 inches before beginning the decreases and I decrease to k1k2tog for the last row. I knit 36 rows between the earflaps. Outside of that, it's all the same. teehee
I had knit a blue 1898 for Merrick and it was a hit. Don had suggested a hat in hunter orange. Jess laughed and loves the idea so here it is. I would love to find a little moose to stitch to it. I'll keep my eyes open. He has a hat, onesie and a shirt with a moose on them. I am sensing a theme.
What a great idea. My very senior Aunt has cold ankles and calves all the time. This would be a good solution for her too since her skin is fragile. Thanks so much for sharing your solution. I wish you all the best success with your treatment.
Your Penny is awesome. I have the same book. I started out with Pippa and combined her with another doll's outfit. The book is great that way. Everything works well together. I love your Penny's expression. She has something planned. teehee
It is so good to see something that has stood the test of time. Sometimes wonder if knitted/crocheted items last. You answered my question. Beautiful.
I smiled out loud. He is awesome. I loved Foghorn Leghorn, so did my sons. Your rooster is perfect and hilarious all wrapped up in one.
I knit this pattern and whoever knits it will have a great time. He is adorable and fun.
I finished the second Skiing Steffi for Chuck and Karen. I really really want these to be great and the faces never satisfy me. I told the kids to let me know honestly if they want changes or additions. I won't feel bad at all, not even remotely. I want these gifts to be awesome.
A change from what I have been doing never hurts. It makes me enjoy the dolls even more. I think I am toyed out but I always find I enjoy getting back to them. The blue hat is for Merrick. Another one I knit for him is already too small. I'll try this one on him tomorrow to see if it is a good fit.
Did you still get the pumpkin pie?
Yes we did, plus a shirt for me!!! Win Win teehee
