Dear Liz, Thanks for your kind words regarding the loss of our little Penny. In reading all the compassionate postings, you can't help but know that you're not alone in your pain. One thing for sure though, they bring so much love into your home. I know that in time (a short time, too) we will be adopting another fur baby. The one that we still have is totally lost, and needs another buddy. Thanks again, Liz, for your kind comments. Dee

Dear Piggysue ... Thanks for your prayers and kind words. Our precious Penny had brought so much love into our lives. I know everyone who loses a pet suffers through these same feelings of loss, but at the same time, you feel as though you are the only one in such pain. But, after reading 17 pages from others who have gone through the same thing, you know you are not alone. Thanks again. Dee

Dear GinB -- Believe me, I know how you feel. Our precious little Pomeranian, Penny, fell off the sofa this morning, broke her neck, and was gone. Just that fast. We are beside ourselves with grief right now, and can only hope the pain subsides soon. But, I guess we sign on for this when we give our hearts to the little critters. Dee

Hi organdywings --

So very sorry for the loss of your darling grandson. God bless you & your family.

Have family in your area -- Marietta. Live in NW Virginia now. Used to sew Angel Gowns when I belonged to the American Sewing Guild. Would love to help, but I'm sure it will take me a while to get one done. Anxious to see how complicated the patterns are.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Kopzy -- Welcome from West Augusta! It's good to see someone else from around this area. Have been writing to a busy knitter from Waynesboro, and have seen at least from Staunton. This can be addictive. Dee

Carabella -- Don't get overly excited about a lot of things, but this poncho is truly an exception. And you did such a beautiful job of knitting. I will be most appreciative if you can steer me toward the pattern. Thanks so much in advance. Dee at Chickadee's Nest Sorry, will do a PM. What can I say--I'm blonde!

Absolutely exquisite!! You'd better be careful - with ten sisters, you may need to knit nine more before you get to keep one. Would love to have the pattern, if it's possible. Keep up the good work. Dee

SIPSIS - I used to have a pattern for those wonderful mittens, but have no idea where it is now or where I got it. I had told a friend about them and she asked if I'd make her husband a pair because every Sunday, even through the winter, her husband washed his car, and she thought they might make it easier. He was so tickled with them, he asked that I make another pair for him to give a friend for the same purpose. They swore they were wonderful and most effective. Whoops--I remember, I got the pattern when we lived in Brockton, Mass. See-my memory still works a little.

Karen - Have been knitting for many years, but just reading your post caused me to get excited all over again. To heck with cooking, cleaning, and laundry today, I've got better things in mind. Good luck on future projects and keep up the good work! Dee

Dear Mar 18 & Zuida -- When I cut and pasted on the link for Teddy, I got 6 results. Instead of starting at the top, I finally clicked on the bottom one, and Voila!, there it was. I can't wait to get started.

Zuida - Love your Teddy! Never had a desire to knit one until I saw yours. Am "befuddled" though because when I put in the link as you listed it, it simply takes me right back to where I started. I can't find the pattern anywhere, although from some comments, others seem to be seeing the pattern. Can you tell me what I'm doing or not doing? Thanks so much, Dee

What a great idea! How clever you are--I'm always losing track of rows even if I have a row counter available. But the yarn is not to be ignored. Thanks so much.

mollybygolly---Your afghan is truly gorgeous. Don't believe I've ever seen a pattern like that. Your workmanship and choice of colors are terrific. I know from personal experience how you must have felt at her lackluster response upon seeing it. But, for what it's worth, you have already brightened my day just by seeing your beautiful gift.
