I was about four or five. I could cast stitches onto my left hand. But with nothing else to work with, that was as far as I could get. It was a decade or so before I could get to the real thing.
I hope he continues to improve. This is a deadly killer. My brother was given 3 to 6 months. He almost made 3. But he didn't have the resources available to Alex; nor did he have the prayers of so many people.
In my childhood, my hands were the swift!
A corollary: Murphy was an optimist!
I really enjoy David Suchet as Poirot. Saw him in a different show playing Inspector Japp, with an entirely different accent. With no disrespect to David Suchet, I also enjoyed Peter Ustinov as Poirot in the movies.
The green leaves look like schleffera. It could be some variety of it.
Carol's Clever Little Scarf is another one.
Never miss Hercule. I like David Suchet the best, but also enjoy the old movies from the 1940s era.
The mother of a friend of mine worked for a well-known hat designer back in "the day". A customer requested that he design a hat for her. He sat her down in front of the mirror and took some ribbon which he arranged artfully on her head. She loved it, but when he told her the price:$25.00, she blurted out: "$25.00 for $1.00 worth of ribbon?" He undid the hat and responded: "Madam, you're paying for my design. The ribbon you may have for free."
When using ziploc bags, I put the yarn in the bag, seal the bag and cut a hole in the top.
You gave the proper response. The speaker may have thought she was making a joke. In any case, the remark did not deserve any more than you gave it.
Has anyone done this hat in two colors? Any advice?
Where can I find the directions/pattern?
