I use the same method. Works for me!

I also use this method and eggs are perfect.

I remove the dry edges and cut into small cubes, & then store in an air tight container. Then for a quick special ice cream sundae, place brownie bits on dessert plate or small bowls, scoop ice cream on top of brownie bits, and then drizzle chocolate and/or caramel sauce and add chopped nuts.

I use site and have been very pleased with their selection, including fabric by the yard, and both custom made slipcovers and ready made.

Kathie, I have hypothyroidism also. I agree with Evie with eating more smaller meals. My 1st breakfast is usually a whole orange or grapefruit with an English muffin. Then mid morning some plain Greek yogurt with a sprinkling of granola and blueberries. It has taken some experimenting on foods to determine what combos give me the most energy throughout the day. My main meal is always before 2pm. I do not eat any carbs after my main meal. I only eat beef for 2 meals during a week. I usually grill a sirloin steak, and save a portion for the 2nd beef meal. I just recently discovered that certain fresh fruit/veggies interfere with thyroid function, so I make sure I steam those vegetables. And drink water. A lot of water.

Hi everyone. I've been absent for awhile, and have let my health plan get out of control a bit. 2 weeks ago, one of my dogs died suddenly. I am heart broken, sad at the loss of my little girl. Plus some birthday, graduation, and holiday weekend events & BBQ foods didn't help. Haven't gained any weight back, so will resume my quest to eat healthy. I have been taking my Bishon Poodle on long walks, as he is missing his sister too. Walking is a great way to get low impact exercise and the fresh air helps when you are sad. I just have to stop eating ice cream. We have had a week of rain so I am eager to do some gardening this week.

This reminds me of 1950 magazine ads that show women vacuuming in high heels, wearing shirt waist dresses with full skirts and petticoats.

Thank you for all the understanding of my loss. I will be transplanting some hostas and coral bells to start my memory garden. Until I can establish some other shade items, I planted impatiens in large planter saucers to fill in the bare spots. Plenty of my tears poured onto this garden site. Kelly will be my garden angel. Now I need to concentrate on my Rory, as he has lost his life mate. He does not want to play, and gives me the saddest glances. Thinking a trip to the groomer to pamper him might help, and then some long walks or car trips. Thank you KPers!

This is such a tragedy. Prayers to all the victims, and special thoughts for the rescue teams and medical personnel that are handling the aftermath of this horrific storm. Stay safe OKLA!

So sorry for your loss. I know the heartache you feel. We lost our 14 yr. old min. schnauzer last fall after she had a stroke. I still miss her. We had her foot print cast in clay and it is such a special memory. We just got another min. schnauzer on St. Patrick's Day and call him Patrick. I didn't think I could stand to go thru that grief again & our vet said to not miss out on the good times you will have with another dog. We are enjoying all of his antics.

I rescued my Kelly and Rory on St Patrick's Day! After my previous Bishon died in my arms on Christmas Day at the age of 18. I am devastated, and Rory keeps looking for her making me cry even more. I keep telling myself that this grief is too much, and never again. But, they give you so much love, that I cannot imagine life without them.

Sunday morning I lost my sweet 13 year old Bishon girl named Kelly. I am devastated at the sudden loss, but happy that she died peacefully in her dog bed. We buried her in her favorite shade spot under the pine trees. I want to mark the spot with some shade perennials. I am also making a bone shaped stepping stone. Her partner, Rory, a male bishon/poodle is so sad, and keeps looking for her.

Wow! Good for you. It is amazing what just a few small changes can do. I read somewhere once that if you just quit drinking pop for one year you would lose 10 pounds. Your plan sounds like a good one. My son told me once to not eat anything white after 3:00, like bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. He was on Atkins at one time, so I don't know if that is part of the Atkins diet or not, but it really worked well for him. Of course, the guys always lose faster than us gals. It is just not fair.

Yes, eliminating any pop, whether it is regular with high fructose corn syrup, & sugar; or the diet with aspertine, you will drop weight. And any food that starts with a "P" is a carb disaster. So now I only eat fruit pie for breakfast. LOL

Lost 2 LBS! I am getting more exercise with all the gardening. Not really dieting per se, but keeping to my plan of smaller meals, and no carbs after 3pm anymore. Seems to be working.

I am concerned that I may have wasted my time last week planting sunflower and zinnia seeds, plus my vegetables. Thought I was safe from frost conditions. Since they haven't germinated yet, I am hoping they are okay. We have sunny skies and warmer weather forecasted for this week.

I spread the wood ash from my fireplace around my hosta and hydrangea plants each spring. Keeps the critters from munching on their hosta buffet. For slugs, I pour beer into pie tins, and the slugs vanish.
