I agree with gloria! I used sockit2me's pattern to make my first pair of socks and have now finished 10 more, using a different heel, toe, or pattern for each pair. It's fun to experiment once you get the basics down. I especially like his star toe and have used this several times.

I noticed it right away. Beautiful knitting! I'm not a shawl person but always admire hand knitted items.

When I was about 10 I begged my grandmother to teach me. She said she didn't know how to teach me since I am left handed and she is right handed. I told her I would learn right handed. That turned out to be a smart choice as knitting is really a two handed craft and patterns are written for right handed knitters. I have never had any problems. When i was a teenager, I made several sweaters using all kinds of techniques that I didn't know I should fear. I made cables, knitted with circulars and DPNs, fair isle, etc. I only wish she were here so that I could thank her!

Beautiful work and so kind of you to do this. Let us know what price they bring.

I just cast on last night for the first time using this needle. I have already knitted 6 pairs of socks using the 12 inch regular needle, so it wasn't much different, however, there is a learning curve with these short circulars. Once you get used to them, you will love them. You still need to use DPNs for the heel and toe, but it's much easier and faster just knitting around-no ladders.

I am in the US also and try to order locally when possible, however, they had a yarn I wanted at a better price, even including shipping. I ordered using Paypal and I was extremely pleased. Not only did it arrive in a timely matter, it was packaged beautifully. I would definitely order from them again.

Beautiful work! I don't think I will ever make socks for my husband's size 13D feet!

Love the colors! Can't wait to get to the self striping yarn in my stash!

Great socks! This pattern is going into my ever growing "sock folder." Thanks Eric.

Congratulations, those socks look great! Stroll tonal is my favorite sock yarn, and if you wash and dry them wrong side out, they won't pill. I made a pair in that colorway and I wear them all the time. Don't you love how squishy Stroll feels on your feet?
If you get to feeling adventurous, try a pair toe-up style. This is the pattern I use:
I like toe up for two reasons, no sewing toes and no picking up gusset stitches.
Congratulations, those socks look great! Stroll to... (show quote)

Thanks for the laundering tip. I'm glad so many people like Stroll tonal as I have 6 more skeins in various colors! And I haven't actually worn them yet as the second sock isn't finished. I wear mostly clogs and boots in the winter and I hope I'm able to finish several pairs before it gets too cold.

I tried for the second time last night. I cast on - found it too tight. Those stitches are so small! I will not give up. Good job, you give me hope. :). Is there a video or just the printed pdf? Thanks.

Don't give up! Cast on LOOSELY! I think there is a video, but I was unable to find it. I had been planning on knitting socks for quite a while and as I mentioned, have been stockpiling yarn, needles and books. Just read through Eric's pattern very carefully and take it a step at a time. Make notes when necessary. Let me know how you do!
