Wonderful looking scarf. I love the variety of color bands, and the pattern is great, too. Would you mind sharing the pattern? Also, what yarn are you using to get the variety of color bands?
I respect your applause for "Rav for standing up for what they believe in."
So my questions is...Why do you not applaud Trump supporters for standing up for what they believe in?
I am a Trump supporter, but my daughter (who is 57) is an ardent Democratic Socialist, and I want everyone to know, that in spite of our political differences, I dearly love my daughter and would NEVER try to suppress her from airing her beliefs, and I certainly would not ban her from being in my home or being a part of the family. That idea is unthinkable to me, and it's scary to me that in America, today, many people believe that we should no longer be able to practice "freedom of speech" without penalty in some form.
wow! Thanks so much, ladies! I've printed them out and am anxious to make outfits!
Does anyone know where I can get sewing patterns for "Lottie" dolls? Free or purchased. It's a 7" doll.
Oh, thank you so much for your ideas of different brands. I'll be making a trip to Joann's later today to check on the plastic snaps, KAM, and also the larger ones that I can sew a button over.
Thanks, Magaknits and Mary Louise for the info on local groups. Now that I've unpacked my "Mt. Everest" of boxes, I'm about ready to start looking into finding knitting groups. Every M,W,F, we go to Athens for my husband's chiropractic appointments, so I'll check out the location of the Brand Cowboy Church. I do know where the Panera Bread is in Tyler, but it'll be awhile before I can make their meeting time because of our Athens appointments.
It is disappointing that the Rose Path yarn shop is gone. I think they're online, but haven't checked that out. I always loved the fact that they mostly only sold yarns that were appropriate for use in our warmer climate. I shopped there during the last Yarn Crawl they participated in, and was lucky to receive two of their "rose stitch markers." I was the envy of my knitting group in McKinney...lol
An aside...I've located a quilt shop in Athens...The Needle Nitch. And have heard of a quilting group associated with the quilt guild in Tyler that meets in the Chandler area twice a month, so am looking forward to attending that group as well.
I'm so excited and happy to be in this area! And, I understand that there is a rug hooking group in Tyler, or close by. I need to check that out.
My three great creative loves, knitting, quilting and rug hooking all right here with no more Dallas traffic!!!...lol
I'm making a duster for a relative and want to put snaps on the front instead of buttons. Aside from the Dritz pearl buttons I can get at Joanns, can anyone recommend any decorative snaps? I see several different packs which include various colors, even plastic snaps. I'm hesitant about the plastic ones. Also, can anyone recommend which brands which they have found will hold up to machine washing and drying? (I'm beginning to sound like that commercial which says, you can't expect your neighbors to do all your research for you when planning a job!...lol). Thanks for any input.
So...does this eliminate the need to wind the yarn into a ball? I'm gonna look for a pattern. I love yours!
Such a lovely classic looking scarf! Thank you for so generously sharing the pattern.
How wonderful of you to make such a lovely selection. Each one will be treasured.
beautiful color! Can you tell us what pattern you used?
Thanks, ladies for the good ideas!
We're about to move to the Tyler, TX area (actually to Chandler), and I'm interested in finding a knitting group. If anyone has any information, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks
Thank you for so generously sharing your sock labels. Just the thought of trying to come up with something as wonderful as your was daunting to me. I truly appreciate your efforts and creativity!
