Thank you for the suggestion of resting my work on something, like a pillow. I will try this. Thank you all for all of your suggestions and shared experience! I knew I could count on fellow knitters on this site!

I would like to continue to knit with knitting needles, just wondering if someone can tell me which are the best if you have arthritis? Thank you for your responses in advance! I have picked up on so many wonderful things from this site! Lots of experts out here!

Just saw that this (egg whites on a burn) was a hoax! Darn! Could find not how to delete my posting, only to revise!

Too much temptation all around you DollieD! I have Michael's close by and Joann's a few minutes away. I also enjoy shopping online at any number of sites, including Lion Brand and Red Heart. I am always looking at others as well. Happy Knitting!

Hello from York, PA! I've been on this forum for a while. I really love all the feedback on problems and patterns people have.

Thank you for sharing this video. I recently did a live online class showing the continental stitch, and vowed it wasn't for me. This video made it look much easier and I will be trying again. When she talked about it being easier for arthritic hands, she peaked my interest! By the time I was finished with the online class, my hands and fingers were so sore. I do the throwing method now, but don't knit as much as I would like to. Thanks for your posting!

When you say you are blessed for your loving, respectful, kind sons and daughters you are TRULY BLESSED.
My 2nd husband and I (he was a father to my children since they were 4 and 5) raised our children with all the right things -- love, respect, sharing, caring, opportunities, church, etc. Unfortunately we have a son and a daughter who have both grown up to be totally self-centered and non-caring, non-thoughtful people (ages 33 and 34). Our daughter hasn't talked to us in 3 years She had gotten sick in our bed while staying one night and never said a word -- no apology, no note, no call, nothing! She has a drinking problem. My son went to cooking school and did very well, except for not completing his final project. Therefore, he didn't graduate. He is currently working at WalMart for $9 an hour trying to support a family of 5 and purchased a foreclosed house. We can't figure out what we could have done or what we did wrong -- but we have finally left it all in God's hands. He is the only one with the Great Plan and He is the only ONE who can save our children. There are others like me out there, we just need to remember to say prayers for those parents and NOT be judgemental. It is NOT ALWAYS the parents! We've suffered greatly in our hearts.

Your dresses are beautiful! I have to learn how to crochet, only know how to knit. One very special little baby girl will wear these proudly!

I am finding that shopping online is the best bet -- and the availability is endless. Haven't had any issues with die lots, YET! I do remember seeing a sign at Michael's that they will order yarn for you in bulk if you don't see it on the shelf. How much "bulk" is, I don't know. Hope this helps!
