Most of us have many opinions to share. Unfortunately there are people here who present their own opinions as facts, and are not content with "agreeing to disagree". They need to broaden their horizons and learn how to listen to others - but that's just my opinion!

My first thought was um, I don’t think little girls should be dressed up & look slutty at the age of 7 yrs old.

Competitive, how about learning a sport?

The mother spent $16,000 for her daughter’s dream. 🤷🏼‍♀️❓ 🤦🏼‍♀️❗️ Why not save it & send her to college to prepare her brain for the future.🤷🏼‍♀️❓. Did it state her winnings, or maybe I missed that.🙄

That would be a much better investment IMO! She is described as a mum-of-two - so what does the other child get out of all this? So wrong.

Some of these are good: no doubt there are many more!

The only thing I can add to this is that young people don't want to do without or wait for anything. All three of our children have jobs and they work hard. But they want things now. They want vacations and whatever else they think they need to have. When we were young IF we took a vacation we stayed at the Motel 6. Or slept in the car a few nights. I remember my husband asking me if I thought we could pay the extra $3 for television in the room. And then later if we could advance to the Best Western. We didn't go very many places. Our furniture came from a garage sale. I had to borrow a vacuum cleaner when I needed one. When our son got his first apartment he complained about not having things. I told him we didn't have this or that. He said that's no reason for him to suffer. I didn't think we were suffering. I never looked at it that way.
The only thing I can add to this is that young peo... (show quote)

The world has become such an unstable place that I am not surprised young people want things now rather than later! For many, the future is not optimistic. They are "seizing the day".

Backtrack 60 years to a kinder, perhaps more secure world in spite of the Cold War. Our family did things economically too, the way one had to in the 1950s. We had no idea what a motel was because we went camping every year and saved up our sixpences for a special treat - ice cream!

I will never forget my grandmother advising me, "Never ask your father for money." And I didn't, not even for small stuff like school excursions. I don't think I or my siblings ever felt "entitled" to anything and I think it has made us more self-reliant as people.

I have one, never would even wear it outside to fight zombies, I'd have to change, they would run from me, but it sure is comfortable, lol,

Sure, those are my best gardening togs - and the plants don't care ...

Your question reminds me of an elderly lady I once knew, who would not answer the door unless she'd first put on her hat.

Good body control on the last one.

Felt sorry for the kitten getting a "bath" like that. Really not needed I feel.

One of our "turn-ups" came to us covered in fleas. Bathing the cat was the best way to get rid of them!
