About user:
Occupation: Admissions Coordinator Interests: reading, history, art, Europe, knitting, and my online shop Biography: I lived in a teeny tiny town with 1 flashing red light and I swore I would leave and live somewhere incredible where people had wonderful ideas, and I could see and experience art and history.

I married a Navy sailor and we were sent to Sicily and I lived there for 8 years and had a wonderful baby daughter. My sailor turned into a pirate and my baby and I came back to the States so my Mom could help me mend my heart and raise my daughter.

Things turned around, we had a happy life and then my Mom was sick with brain cancer and we took care of her for 2 years until she died recently. I actually learned to knit because of her. I had always wanted too, but never came across anyone to teach me and just as fate senses a dire need, it provides for you. My Mother was ill and someone was starting a knitting class. Chemo caps that are attractive and soft are my passion. My Mother and I would go to the yarn store after chemo and we would talk about the yarns and with her help I made her beautiful hats.

I mourn my Mother a million times a day and miss her a million more, but our lives are getting back on track and my daughter and I have a wonderful life together with my beautiful 15 year old kitty from Sicily named Etna and three guinea pigs that fuss for food everytime the refrigator door opens.

During the week my daughter and I work to pay for our creative supplies and adventures. We spend the weekends relaxed, exploring, making fresh pasta, listening to Pavarotti and indulging in a little vino.
