Hello. I am new to Knitting Paradise. Somebody suggested giving it a try in the hopes that someone here may recognize a pattern I am looking for. This looks like a fun place and I'm glad she told me about it!

I'm trying to find the pattern for this EXACT bonnet & booties. Somebody gave them to me recently and I like the design so much that I'd love to add it to my library. I've posted on both the Ravelry and Facebook pattern search groups but have come up empty. And I've done loads of searches using both the photo and different search terms. Again ... nothing. I can try to recreate them, but honestly hate to spend the time reinventing the wheel if the pattern is already out there. And if I figure it out for myself, I'd like to offer it for free on Ravelry. Which means that I also wouldn't like to offer a pattern design that somebody else owns (even if it is my own wording).

Things to point out are the six swirled back of the bonnet (in garter stitch) and there are only four rows of cables on the bonnet (and the style of cable). Same with the booties. Note the cable on the top, stockinette stitch on the side and ribbed top.

Any help you can give would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi, Cathy! Yes, this seems like a very nice place and I'm glad you mentioned it. Hopefully someone will recognize the design, but if not, at least there's options. I've got the bonnet going, but have had a few false starts with coording needle size and getting the cable pattern right.

Hello, Florida! Thank you for the welcome. I'm glad you like the bonnet. I love frou frou bonnets, but I especially liked this one because it had some design to it to make it interesting, but not enough to turn off a Mom who didn't like fancy stuff. And good for both a boy or girl.

Thank you, SoCal! I appreciate you researching for me. Hopefully somebody will recognize it. But in the meantime, I will be working on writing a pattern for it to offer. I'm not a pattern writer, but will do my best to make it clear and understandable.
