Has anyone here knit with fingerless gloves on their hands?
Not the mitts, but gloves without each finger top- half fingers?
Does knitting work out ok?

Yes It was suggested if you suffer with cold hands to use half finger gloves.

I often knit with fingerless mitts - not the half fingers though. I have cold hands but try not to put the CH on until evening.

As a Continental knitter I can knit wearing fingerless gloves if I fold the bottom of the left one up so it doesn't interfere with holding my yarn. It might be opposite for an English style knitter.

I do. And I use wear them when working on the computer, especially in the early morning, before the heat comes on. Like now.

I do, too, but only the ones that are shorter. If the part over the fingers is too long, or if the yarn on the mitts too fuzzy, then they don't work as well.

I often knit with gloves (thin cotton),with full fingers. Have done so all my life and don't have a problem. Have also used fingerless ones.

I have knit with the stretchy support gloves on and they have partial fingers. Once in a while I might have gotten energetic and jabbed the glove with a needle but not bad enough to make a hole.

You betcha! I almost always knit with half finger and fingerless gloves, and often with just one glove. The ladies in my group sometimes have too little yarn left for a finished project, so my one-handed gloves comes in handy as a way to use up scraps. Being handicapped has its privileges!
