I learned it as the reverse single crochet stitch & back in the 70's they referred to it as piecrust edging. My old 'Harmony Guide to Crocheting' (from 1993) refers to it as a corded edge. One of my Magic Crochet magazines from 1988 calls it crab stitch. No matter what you call it, it's sc stitches done in reverse in a left to right direction.

i am 71 and learned it as the pie crust stitch..resembles the pinched crust edging on a pumpkin pie. when i saw the crab st or reverse sc i was all of a sudden learning a new stitch!!!NOT. they are all the same. very nice simple edging.

I have (and have gifted several) Conair GS23 steamers. It sends out a small or great amount of steam depending on settings and steams in any hand-held direction/position.
Bought at JoAnn's, it's available widely.
I'm not sure how this got into this particular thread, but it looks like a neat steamer. Can you use it to steam something laid flat on a table without spitting and leaking problems?

With wrong side facing, 1 double crochet, slip next stitch.
Alternate these two stitches all the way around.
